Altrenogest (INN, USAN, BAN),also known allyltrienolone, as well as 17α-allyl-19-nor- δ9, or 17 α -allylestra-4,9,11-trien-17 β -ol-3-one, is a steroidal progestin of the related to allylestrenol,norgestrienone, that is widely used in veterinary medicine to suppress or synchronize estrus in horses andpigs.
